스콜피언스(1965~2010)는 1965년에 결성된 독일의 록밴드입니다. 전세계적으로 1억장 이상의 음반판매 기록을 보유하고 있는 스콜피온스는 2010년까지 꾸준한 앨범 발표와 공연 활동을 하다가 마지막 앨범 'Sting in the Tail' 을 끝으로 결성 40년만에 해체되었습니다.
1980년 소련은 고르바초프 시대를 지나 엘친이 대통령이 되면서 소련의 공산주위가 무너졌습니다. 그리고 1990년에는 동,서독 베를린 장벽이 무너졌고, 마침네 냉전시대의 종말을 고하게 되었습니다.
스콜피언스는 이보다 앞서 Wind Of Change(변화의 바람)을 발표했고, 소련의 붕괴를 예감이라도 한 듯한 가사 때문에 화제가 되었습니다.
"민주주위를 지켜내자!" 라는 구호가 어이없게 군사독제 시대가 아닌 2013년 현재 거리에서 광장에서 들려오고 있습니다. 스콜피언스의 Wind Of Change(변화의 바람)이 들리네요.
