인도 북동부에 있는 몰리농 마을의 카시 부족은 모계 사회의 전통을 따르고 있다. 방글라데시아 접해있는 이 마을은 "아시아에서 가장 깨끗한 마을" 이라는 명성 때문에 사람들의 관심을 끌고 있다고 한다. 카스족 여성들은 전통에 따라 모든 경제권을 같고 있고 막내딸에게 유산의 전부가 상속된다.

사진가 카톨린 클뤼텔(Karolin Klüppel)은 모계 사회의 전통을 어어가고 있는 카시족 소녀들의 당차고 자기확신에찬 소녀들의 모습에 매력을 느끼고 9개월동안 한 가족들과 함께 생활하며 소녀들의 모습을 사진으로 남기고 "Kingdom of girls" 사진전을 열었다.
